WATCH PROGRAMNeighborhood Watch Means . . .
- Neighbors getting to know one another and then working together in a program of mutual assistance.
- Citizens learning how to recognize and report suspiciousactivity.

How Does Neighborhood Watch Work?
- You and your neighbors are in a position to really know what goes on in your neighborhood. Neighborhood Watch is all about organizing the eyes and ears of the entire
neighborhood into a powerful crime prevention tool.
- Citizens are not trained to take police actionon their own. They are trained to spot criminal activity and call the authorities if necessary.

Is Neighborhood Watch Truly Effective?
Yes it is.

- Criminals need opportunity, andability to commit a crime.
- Neighborhood Watch groups deny criminals the opportunity and ability they need to operate undetected.

Our neighborhood is safe but we need to be proactive. If interested in being a part of neighborhood watch program, please sign up at http://www.lenningscrossing.com.

Fall is around the corner

Though the weather is still warm, cold weather will soon be upon us.

Here are some tips to prepare for the cold months ahead.

1. Make sure to rake the leaves from your lawn or the grass underneath may die.
2. Turn off thewater inside and open the outside faucets and drain your water hoses so they don?t freeze.
3. Check and change the filter in your AC/Heater system.
4. Check smoke detectors in your home.

SNOW REMOVAL

- Each homeowner is responsible for clearing thesidewalks in front of their homes.
- To ensure that our streets will be properly plowed and also to avoid damage to cars, do not clear snow from your property into the street. This makes streets treacherous to pass.
- Clear the snow away from fire hydrants so emergency personnel can find them quickly if needed.

Tidbits

Please remember to drive cautiously, children live in our community. They are not always looking out forcars, so it is our responsibility to look out for them. Please, please slow down, 25 mph is the speed limit in our community. The street in our community is not Dover speedway.
